The light is operated by a simple, user-friendly interface which allows for one-handed operation.

The Wizard C2 Pro torch offers 8 brightness levels which range from 0.1 lumens to 1600 lumens, plus 3 strobe modes from 90 to 1600 lumens. The Nichia LED has a colour temperature of 4500K which, combined with the output of 1600 lumens, provides near to perfect natural reproduction of colours at 113 meters. This version of the popular, multi-functional Wizard C2 Pro is designed specifically for use in applications where clear colour differentiation is required, such as photo and video shooting, painting and polishing and working with wire colour coding. The battery is rechargeable via the magnetic USB charging cable which attaches to the base of the torch. The stock AR coated lens slightly increases Duv, but not to the point I would bother replacing it with a mineral glass lens. The Armytek Wizard C2 Pro Nichia flashlight has a maximum output of 1600 lumens from the Nichia 144AR LED and is powered by 1 x 18650 li-ion battery (included). Note that this is a regular Nichia binning like E21A rather than the super rosy sw45k, but the tint is pleasantly below the BBL at all levels, which is my preference for 4500K and above. In any case, the Nichia 519A is a massive improvement. It's unfortunate Armytek opted for CRI 70 when LH351D is readily available in high CRI, particularly in the Skilhunt H04RC Mini which is an obvious competitor. This is the "white" version of the C1 Pro, which appears to use a CRI 70 6500K Samsung LH351D.

This Wizard is going into my permanent collection, but I have a limited quantity of 519A available in any of the lights I mod for sale.Ĭolour data is measured with an X-Rite i1Studio. It handles much higher current safely and without looking awful and outperforms 219B at the same level, but it's also somewhat floodier since the die and dome are larger. With a standard 3535 size and XP pad layout, it's nice to feel like there's finally a viable alternative to 219B coming soon.

I strongly prefer thermal regulation to timed stepdowns, and the new charging connector design is much more reliable. Armytek gets a lot of shit for their customer service, but the Wizard C1 Pro is a great light with a proper LED. Acebeam have released the E70 Mini with three Nichia 519A emitters It is the smaller high CRI version of the E70 with arguably nicer emitters. Its basically a glorified Tiara Pro with the new head design and a higher output, which isnt a bad thing at all. I'm really pleased with how this mod turned out. This is the new Armytek Wizard C1 Pro, which is the mini version of the Wizard C2 Pro. Once the light is open it's a fairly simple process to reflow the LED and clean up all of Armytek's thermal goop before reassembling and pressing the bezel. One nice thing about this is there's now enough of a gap between the lens and bezel to remove the bezel without breaking the glass. The MCPCB is larger, the optic is completely different, the lens and o-rings are larger, and they've also upgraded the LED leads from the tiny gauge wires they used to use. The head of the current Wizards is larger than the previous generation, and there are a lot of changes internally. The Wizard C1 Pro isn't too difficult to mod once you've removed the bezel. It uses a Samsung LH351D, but unfortunately Armytek opted for the CRI 70 version, which immediately makes it considerably less desirable to me than competitors like the Skilhunt H04 RC Mini. It's basically a glorified Tiara Pro with the new head design and a higher output, which isn't a bad thing at all. This is the new Armytek Wizard C1 Pro, which is the mini version of the Wizard C2 Pro. I recently got my hands on some Nichia 519A in sm453 R9080 (4500K, 3-step binning, CRI Ra 90+, CRI R9 80+) and I've been trying them in quite a few lights.
